Electronica at the Waterfront

One of the stars of the electronica scene is coming to Norwich .

Venetian Snares – otherwise known as Aaron Funk – will be hitting the Waterfront on Monday 20 September as part of his UK tour.

The night is being put together by Norwich-based promoters Uncollected and it will also boast a live set from the Miami Beat Alliance. Canada 's Venetian Snares – who is signed to Planet Mu - is one of the world's top electronica artists. His style of destroying melodic samples with explosive beats has helped to launch him at the forefront of hardcore dance music.

In Norwich , Funk will weld together drum ‘n' bass, jungle, jazz and breakbeat for a night of experimentalism. Miami Beat Alliance will be warming up the crowds at the start of the night. Their live set promises to be an uplifting experience with MC London Boy laying the vocals over the computer-generated sounds.

Uncollected's resident DJs will be playing in between the sets with their own take on RDM: drill ‘n' bass, jungle, breakbeat, electro and gabba. This event - which will take place in the studio - is the late summer follow-up to Uncollected's night in July which featured Parisian duo dDamage, label-mate of Venetian Snares.
